Manifestation Determination
Manifestation Determination is a meeting that takes place to determine if a student's behavior is or was a direct result of the student's disability. A manifestation determination review must take place when a disciplinary action involving a change of placement for more than ten school days. This meeting should take place as soon as possible, or within ten days of the last disciplinary action. The district representative, parent, and relative members of the IEPT should all be present at the manifestation determination review.
